If something on this site is wrong, we want to know and we'll fix it in the open rather than quietly.

Corrections

A correction is added directly to the foot of the affected article: the original text stays as published, and a dated correction note is appended explaining what was wrong and what the accurate detail is. The correction is never hidden or edited into the original text.

Retractions

If an article should not have run at all, it is retracted: the body is replaced with a retraction notice at the same URL (the page isn't deleted or redirected away), explaining why.
